Trio de Janeiro is exactly one half of Brasilliance!. Since Katrina, other members of Brasilliance! have found success in other endeavors and locations, and we wish them well. Watch for the Reunion concert. ;)
Trio de Janeiro is comprised of Ray Moore on winds, vocals, and percussion, Mike Lemmler on keyboards and left-hand bass, and Wayne Maureau on drums. Their repertoire includes many of the tunes from the Minha Joia and Paralelepípedo CDs, plus samba-jazz standards from João Donato and Sergio Mendes as well as MPB and música nordestina; and of course, the music of Hermeto Pascoal and his disciples.
